If ELLA can now claim to be one of the best online platforms for learning languages, it is without doubt due to the motivation and enthusiasm of the whole team. This pluridisciplinary team is composed of professional linguists, expert web programmers, experienced managers and numerous speakers who helped us with ELLA recordings.

Founder

Jean-Paul Callut

Founder & Course Designer

Jean-Paul is the founder of ELLA. He created and developed the linguistic and pedagogic concept used in the different ELLA courses: communication and vocabulary, grammar, pronounciation, viewpoints, business language courses.

Management

Marc Vandenhaute

Chief Executive Officer

Marc is responsible for the strategical development and overall organisation of ELLA. His main responsibilities are the development of the commercial strategy, marketing and the management of the company's administration and finance.

Cédric Bounameaux

Business Development Manager

Cédric is responsible for the overall operation of the company. He co-ordinates and manages the computer projects, marketing and finance. He has been involved with ELLA since the very start. He qualified in management at l’IAG (UCL 2003) and also has a CEMS MIM (Masters in International Management, UCL-ESADE 2003).

Linguistic coordination

Cynthia Rud

Linguistic coordinator

Cynthia is ELLA's linguistic coordinator. She's a technical-scientific-literary translator (“E.N.N.S. en Lenguas Vivas John F. Kennedy”, 1992) and a Licentiate in languages and linguistics (ULB, 1995).

IT Team

Pierre-Yves Dufays

Lead Developer

Pierre-Yves is in charge of defining and implementing ELLA's IT solutions, which includes improving and maintaining the online platform, as well as internal content-editing tools.

Grégory Schiano

Network Manager/Assistant Developer

Grégory is in charge of maintaining and improving ELLA's servers (emails, Web, local network). He is also a Java programmer and helps Pierre-Yves in this task.

Lénaïc Tribolet

Webdesigner

Lénaïc is ELLA's web designer. His job is to develop ELLA's webpages, graphical elements which feature on the site and various company documents. He also manages most of the multimedia elements on ELLA's platform.

Damienne de Gottal

French coordinator

Damienne is ELLA's coordinator for French. She joined the team with twenty years' experience in teaching French as a foreign language. With one foot in France and another in Belgium, Damienne has several passions: her children, of course, as well as D.I.Y. and African dance.
